“What do drawings mean to me? I really don’t know. The activity absorbs me. I forget everything else in a way that I don’t think happens with any other activity… ” (John Berger)

Life drawing is challenging and hard work but immensely satisfying and good fun too.
These sessions are suitable for practicing artists and newcomers to drawing, alike and give you the opportunity to become totally absorbed in the process of seeing, looking and interpreting the female and male nude form in whatever medium you desire.
There will be no formal whole group tuition but there will be guidance, encouragement and direction for those who would like it and the session and the model will be led by me.

Over each 5 or 6 week block we will draw from a variety of models and the poses in each session will vary in length from short and quick to longer ones. Ultimately the aim is for you to gain confidence in your work and perhaps explore something that is new to you too.
Materials
You will need to bring your own drawing equipment, drawing board, materials and if required an easel, although I do have a couple of large studio easels, (in Warminster) and a couple of small portable easels.
You are welcome to use any medium you like, including paint but please do not bring solvent based oils/ cleaning mediums. Water based oils are fine.
